Lamouchi announces squad for Senegal

Training squad

The Ivorian manager Sabri Lamouchi has named a twenty-three man squad ahead of their 2013 Nations Cup qualifier’s second leg against Senegal. Lamouchi has once again trusted in the big name players at the moment including Drogba, Gervinho, Yaya Toure and Max Gradel. Yet, French side Lille’s Salomon Kalou and Al Saad’s Kader Keita have been dismissed from the team, possibly because of their poor home performance against Senegal last month. The midfield’s poor performance could be improved with the return of Newcastle’s Cheick Tiote. Nineteen year old goal keeper Sayouba Mande makes his first steps with Drogab and co. According to some analysts, Mande could one day take over from the ageing Copa Barry.
The Elephants’ preparation is due to take place in Abidjan, from next Monday to Thursday.
